affirmation

reading this affirmation made me think that i will also become proud to be a teacher. i will stand behind it 100 percent and give my best at all at what i do when i become a teacher. all the affirmations read by my classmates along with mine were very inspiring. they were uplifting word about beinig a teacher and its good to hera good things about teaching

when i got my picture taking by ms hara i was thinking good thing i got my haircut. I also was think what were we gonna do with our pictures and what does it relate too. She told us to describe ourself in one word and write it on our palms. my word was AUTHENTIC, i feel as i am a real black man and proud of it. i also was thinking i like how this teacher got us invloved doing actual activity instead of just lecturing the whole class.


this teacher is gonna be an authentic teacher. he is gonna have real evidence for what and just how the kids are going to learn. He plans to give alot of examples and help students as much as needed. this teacher will help kids in becoming a better person in life also. He plans to educate them in academics and in life as well.

grammer

well for one writing is very essential. writing can be used to express yourself to entertain or inform someone or just for fun for. writing is a form of news. along with writing comes grammer. grammer is a big thing in writing if people are going to be reading what you write. grammer is quite tricky sometimes because it might sound or look right but it can be completely wrong about how you write your sentences

cheating in america

when it comes to cheating i honestly think that the only time people care about cheating is when is when he or she is getting cheated on. if you see someone cheating and it doesnt have anything to do with you then it does not matter. Bur if someone is she cheating off of you and you are not ok with that then it matters. Also i think people just dont report cheating because they dont wanna get involved with someone elese wrong doings. cheating just cheats yourself, if it is something you will need in life you are missing out on the knowledge you need to succeed.

planning to become a teach

i plan to become a elementary or middle school teacher. i would perhaps like to teach grades 4-6 or 7. whatever subject i teach i plan to be the best at it. when im a teacher i want to be very organized and have my students leran alot. I want them to succeed in life and be what they want to become. I work at cunningham middle school and i like the kids alot. i try to help them with their homework as much as i can. i see the students that are struggling and i feel its my job to do something about for the hours i am there. i see some of their report cards and some of them are not so great. I hope my extra time with them with improve their grades.

reflection on "where im from"

this was quite interesting to fill out. it made me think about my family a lot and my home town and im ready to see them over the holidays. at first i was paused because i didnt know what to put but as i just started to write it kind went into place. i still struggled on some line but im glad we did this

that photograhps reminds me of corpus because has a beach but beyond that im wondering if there are tourist involved. i see a person in a building and the building had a great view of the water. Im wondering what the person laying down in the sand is there for. he looks like he has on dress clothes and typically ppl dont go to the beach with dress clothes on. it seems to be sleep but then again im not sure. i wonder where this is located tho?

Plato quotation response

Plato's philosphy, to me is simply do not teach something to a child by making him/her doing it how and when u say. you should try to make it as interesting as possible to them. sometimes all i child needs is some interest and creativity to do their work. it will just have them want to do it rather then the teacher making them doing. They will have the urge to do the assignment. with them having the urge to do the assignment you can then see the diffrence and the amazment in childrens work. you see just how each individual does their own thing. You will see just how unique the children are.

affirmation

it feels good to hear words of encouragments from people. when you are encouraged in life you feel good na dknow you can do good in any thing you do. we all like to be acknowledge in some sort of way. i think when people encourage us it motivates us and makes us do better in our obstacles. Reading my "Affirmation" out loud was very simple to do. It felt good to hear the cheers from my fellow classmates

what inspires me

for one my parents inspire me. they showed me that things can be done with hard work and dedication. they are originally from africa and my dad was sent to america by his family to come here and go to school to get an education. he came here by himself leaving my mom and older brother and sister in africa until he could afford to move them here. i thank god he came here because in america we have a good chance of have a better life. also good music inspires me bacause it motivates me to do better life and be a better person. also this world inspires me. i see a lot of shady stuff and it has happened to be a better person.

First memory writing

i have always loved music and and when i was little i used to try to write songs. me and my two closest frriends would write music and then rap them on a microphone. it was so funny and was a extra hobby for us. i remember on days it used to rain since we couldnt play basketball we would all be at one of houses and write music

Freewriting

today is monday the first school day of the week obviously. i feel good about myself and i have no worries as of now. im wondering how this week is gonna turnout but at the same time im still counting my blessings because i know tomorrow is not promised. I wondering what obstacles am i gonna have with school, money, work, and girls. those are mainly the four most things i have to deal with. im not leaving my family out i just dont consider them as obstacles because i dont have any problems with my family besides me being away for school. But i love my family to death and we all get along pretty well so there are no problems in that area. As far as school goes i am working on being prepared for each in every class no matter what day time or class it is. success in school is something i want the most in my life. Now aws far as money goes i wish i had a lot more but hey.. who doesn't. im just trying to budget my money and work it well get better as soon as my checks start rolling in from work. But overall i have food clothes and gas so i am blessed and thankful for all i have.

Teaching

Students need teaching that supports their writing every single day. There is whole class teaching in the form of focus lessons, small grorp teaching and indivdual teaching. The teachers have spent a lot of time developing their curriculum knowledge.

As a highschool teacher I would use the writing workshop as a way to have the students interact with each other in groups, and also have them peer review each others work. I feel that group work amongst students teaches social skills. Through conversation with their peers, students can develop new ideas for their essays, and research papers. My role as a teacher would be to encourage the class to be creative and to write throughouly. - Jessica

I think in this particular classroom, maybe there would need to be more teacher interaction with the writing. Such as, giving the students certain prompts or questions that they can answer maybe about their rougth drafts that way when they are thinking about writing their final drafts, it becomes easier for them to have something to focus on. Other than that, I don't really see problems with this idea. -- Megan

I agree there would need to be more teacher interaction. I know when i was in high school we got to talk to our teachers one by one with our drafts and she would tell us what we did good on and what we did not so good on. It builds up confidence in wrinting when you can interact with the teacher and not just be imtimidated by the teacher and how he/she grades. Also you are more confident when you see just what exactly you need to work on to improve your writing.

grammar and punctuation

english is to me the most important subject we have to take in our lives. i say that because how you express yourself shows just who you are. in english we are taught how to talk and write. it is always important to use good when grammer in life. although i dont always use perfectly good grammer i do try too. but with the words that i choose to say i think it shows that have i good sense. Grammar and punctaution are strong keys in written. everyone should know how to do both things in written and it is important to do. in high school i would get points taking off for those same reasons. i try my best not to make little mistake by not usuing good grammer and punctuation. I want my students to master this as i teach writing

I agree with the quote because writers write all the time and when you write i feel as if you are expressing yourself. Therefore you are more in the habit of finding significance that is in your life. When i write and read what i wrote after im done it makes me think more about life. Sometimes just reading things can help you figure out various situations in life. Other than just thinking it through in your head. Like how we wrote what we think of ourselves on our hands and took a picture of it had a lot of meaning to it. I think about that everyday now since we done it. My word was "authentic" i do think i am authentic and i push myself to be everyday now. Since we wrote our words in class i have been pushing myself even harder now. A simple word of what you think of yourself can make difference, that just shows you how after you think about the word. Now writers write a lot and there are a lot more words in poems novels and various books and articles so i can see how writers are more in the bait of finding significance that is in their lives.
